When Bill Gates coined the phrase “Content is King” in 1996, it didn't come as a surprise to me. You can read his piece in its entirety here. Basically, it mirrors what we were also telling our clients back then. “The Internet levels the playing field. You can now compete with competitors without putting in the extra dollars to make yourself equal to them. You can do it online, and if you send it out properly, you will be found, and if you offer something more … just a bit more than your competition, in a more compelling, attractive way, you can cross the finish line with them in your sights, or even just behind you.”
– Christine Merser, 1996
And now? As we launch Blue2 Media, we are looking ahead, not in the rear view mirror. It's my view that AI (Artificial Intelligence) is remaking the content landscape and creating a wealth of opportunity similar to that which existed in 1996, during the early days of the internet. And, the early bird (that would be you), will catch the worm.
AI is revolutionizing the way we create content—which now, more than ever, is the map that can help lead you to the promised land of customer satisfaction and loyalty. You can create what once took weeks in seconds. Budgets. For free. In seconds. You can have designs done for your social media, websites, and signage; for free—in seconds. You can have AI write in your own voice; just give it a paragraph written in your or your brand's voice, and it can learn how to write just like you. Just ask Sorkin who I hope has seen The West Wing episode AI wrote a few months ago after it was given three episodes to 'learn' from. You can have blogs proofed. Hell, you can have them written. In seconds. For free. You can ask AI to provide you a marketing plan for the next month simply by telling it what you are looking to gain.
Who needs us? For free. In seconds.
AI is graduate school in content development. Only you get to have the 'teacher' do all the work. It allows you to do so much for your product, service presentation, and growth—things that, prior to its launch last year, would have cost you thousands. And, perhaps more importantly, it frees you up to go out and get business.
Intrigued? Join one of our Zoom presentations on September 26th—we're holding one at noon, and again at 5:30 p.m. EDT. Just email us your interest and we will send you the invite when we launch our September / October programming schedule soon.
If you were around in 1996 and didn't act on the message from Bill about content, don't fret. Remember, the windshield is bigger than the rear view mirror for a reason. But act now. Don't let yourself look back twenty-five years from now and wish you had taken advantage of AI and tapped into its unbelievable potential.
